You send should send him an email saying you give in, and send horrible fat people pictures, I think you can pull that off you're good enough to do something like that or probably EVEN better[MakenZero]

I seriously have no idea, and no suggestions as to why he is a f*cktard like that... but hearing you mention your "brother" makes me curious to know whether you actually do have any siblings. I'm guessing you don't cos I've never heard you mention any... but, I could be wrong. So, do you actually have any brothers or sisters?[ripples]

My Loser Ex Boyfriend
|
To me, he obviously has a total insecurity with who his is as well as his attractiveness to women. He needs to validate himself by earning the desire of any woman who pays attention to him. From what you're tell me here, this isn't the case of a smooth womanizer, but someone who truly needs to believe every woman wants him. But it's also obvious that he has never developed a really close emotional relationship with a woman either, and if this woman he has moved in with is under the impression that he has, she needs to be disabused of that notion before it bites her in the ass, in a very painful way. In all, he has the emotional maturity of a seven year old who constantly needs to hear how awesome he is to believe it, but he's also wrapped his entire self-worth up in thinking that the object of life is to be desired by the most people.[jmf1968]

How do you use it to convert the .cda to .mp3? I'm such a technical idiot for being so smart in other areas. It's frustrating. Thanks for your help![jmf1968]

I had to look up what Dragon Con is on wikipedia. It sounds fun, although I'm glad there isn't such a thing in SA- we already have enough bad B.O. wandering around, polluting the air, gassing the decent smelling citizens. I love dressing up though, although I cannot even fathom a corset. And I am nowhere near a 50 inch waist. Scary. [AllySunnySmile]

I don't see it as much of a brilliant move as much as a move of desperation. I think we could probably go around in circles on this but would benefit more from just agreeing to strongly disagree. Politics aren't really anything I care much to discuss anymore just because it's hard for me to tell the people that actually care from the people that just want to ruffle feathers at this point and go against what the "popular" choice may be.
I basically have gotten to the point where I know 100% I'm voting for Obama so I figure there isn't much to discuss with the people that agree or disagree, if that makes sense.

I thought it was a strategic pick. she has a huge guilt card in her kid going to iraq and her othrr kid having downs sybdrome. honestly, i thought it was a as weak a choice as Biden being as the GOP has gone after Obama for lack of experience, then they pic A VP with even less experience.
It'll be interesting. i certainly dont feel more compelled to look into the possibility if voting for Mccain more than i did before.
What about you? whatd you think[JesusofSuburbia]

I think you make some very valid points. I love the fact that you reason your choice, as opposed to so many I talk to who just assume that each candidate will be able to do what they say they will. Maybe someday we'll get someone running that I will be excited to vote for. As for sounding like your father, something I heard once and thought was funny, "If you aren't a liberal when you are young, it proves you don't have a heart, and when you grow up if you aren't conservative, it proves you don't have a brain." don't know if I agree completely, but I thought it was funny.[jmf1968]

Not going to lie here, I never completely followed American politics other than to laugh at Bushisms, I don't even know who Joe Biden IS hahaha but I did watch Obama's speech and I love his platform. His platform is exactly like the New Democratic Party in Canada, which is a party that never ever wins but still garners a lot of votes. 30% sometimes. They sometimes win federal votes or they become what's equivalent to the Senators you guys have ... I think. It's hard to compare two different electoral systems. I had a point, what was it??? Oh yeah, they have been getting more and more votes for the past 10 years, people are sick of corruption and arrogancy and watching rich people award themselves. I do believe it's time for a change, John McCain wouldn't bring that ... I don't know for sure if Obama will succeed but it's worth the try, he might make many missteps along the way but I think at this point it'll be worth it. K was going to add more but I have to work [skattebol]

I don't know too much about politics (esp. American politics) but Jason loves (is a little obsessed with, in fact) Hillary Clinton. He has a Hillary Clinton nut cracker (don't ask). He was a big Bill fan too, but seriously, its a little weird to me. He is quite passionate about American politics actually. [AllySunnySmile]

Obama is NOT Dr. King
|
The choice of Biden to me didn't make any sense at all. I think it's weird to talk about a new Washington and then bring in a senator thats been serving the public for 36 years and is 65 years old. In that same breath, if you're going to ask what Biden has done then you really do have to ask the same of McCain, and the answer is much the same...nothing.
I'm not saying who anyone should vote for, but I generally think that a step in the right direction would be acknowledging that the war was a mistake, a grave mistake in fact. That alone sets Obama and McCain apart. Obama voted against it in 2002, McCain has always been for the war.
Obama remains completely untested, and for a lot of people that's really unsettling. McCain stands completely tested, and for people like me, has failed at every turn.
I'm not at all going to ever entertain the idea of voting for someone that has voted against alternative fuels, for the war, against cleaner emissions for cars, and for tax breaks for oil companies.
I like Obama, that's no secret. And I dislike McCain, and with good reason. How are we ever going to know how things might be, if we never give it a chance to begin with.
In 9 weeks all of this will be over, which I'll be glad because with most people I either end up disagreeing(which most people can't stand) or agreeing and having to hear about a bunch of sh*t I already know, or don't want to hear.
November can't get here soon enough.

Amen. But then, you already knew how I felt about this topic. I think all drugs should be legal, and prostitution as well. (I would definitely partake of the first, probably not the second). But you were talking about beliefs, not laws. I don't know if you noticed, and I didn't make a big deal about it, but I didn't experience real racism until I was about 16. And I've been in denial about it for a good portion of my life, assuming that, deep down, everyone was like me. They aren't. It does suck. [jmf1968]

i agree. i believe that as long as it doesn't affect you then leave it/them alone. it's getting tiring with people causing offense over such stupid shallow things. like the colour of peoples skin or their gender. yeah everyone's racist, not gonna lie and say i haven't been, but i keep my stereotyping private, so i don't let it be known to everyone. and i think that is what some people have to learn to do.
also thanks for signing my diary. yeah, she is looking for attention, && i know that, but she just really really annoyed me lol so i want her to feel stupid, especially since she's had a few comments on that entry already with only negative things written.

guys like girls that will play video games. im as girley as they get. the other day i told mine i wanted to try guitar hero, he almost flipped. yours knows you have a vagina (not saying thats all he wants you for) so he likes that. im sure he loves you because of how funny and smart you ARE. and he can think of you as a friend. youve got the whole package. go you. I had 2 kids by the age of 19. I've been with my babys father since middle school. I've graduated high school and am taking college courses online. im a stay at home mother, he works and brings in enough money to pay all the bills and put diapers on the kids' asses and buy them nice things. My daughter is almost 3. I think most teenage mothers are immature, and automatically they think just because they have a kid that the guy is going be like OMG I LOVE MY FAMILY, i just want to marry her and never f*** anyone ever again. WRONGOOOO. Men dont ever grow up. Its taken alot of work to keep my family together. I geuss most teenage moms need to pull their heads out of their asses. I think most of them are screwed for being stupid, BUT at the same time i think you should give some credit for some young moms who are 2 steps ahead of all the other dumbf***s, the ones who planned ahead. I never see you give young moms credit in any of your entries. we dont all suck. But i love your diary so keep writin. [sahmoftwo]

I know how you feel re: kids. I have made a conscious decision to not have any. Little ooze machines, leaking liquid from every available oriface. Euw. Sometimes it is hard to let go and be a girl. I work in a "man's world/man's job". I often feel like I lose my femininity because I'm trying so hard to play in the boy's sand-pit. Then when someone treats me like a girl I'm like "You're a f*&$ing girl, retard!! Hold the bloody door open for yourself!!!". [AllySunnySmile]

As for this entry:
congrats on hitting the hundred mark... that's quite a feat. i think most girls turn into guys when the relationship gets to a certain comfort level. Wearing make up and getting dressed up ALL the time is a pain in the ass, so most girls only do it till they have the guy hook, line and sinker...

Congrats on hitting the century mark!! I sort of set myself back on that earlier this month. Oh, well. I think it's awesome that you've found someone who likes you for who you are. Speaking as a guy who is not into facades, I have to say I understand it. Contrary to what the media would like for you to believe, not all guys like made-up, dressed to the nines, hair perfect, corset wearing women. There are a lot of us that love the real thing, and I mean real. So good for him. And you, too. As to your last two points, being miserable is a choice for most of the people who are, but they just need to cheer up. And you are dead on about the single mom thing. Most of these teenage girls wish they'd listened to the people who tried to tell them that being a single mom sounds a lot more romantic than it is. I just feel sorry for the kids.[jmf1968]

Well, for me personally, I don't think there are ever enough college aged female strippers, so don't ask my opinion on that one. All of college is a rip-off. I have a degree in criminal justice. I work in banking. There's a comedy line there, I know, I'm just tired of doing it. My point is that as much as it sucks, there are companies out there that won't consider you unless you have a degree. Most of them don't care what it's in, or where you got it from. The only time this kind of stuff matters is when you are going for a specific field of scientific study, or you are going to be a lawyer or a doctor, and even in those cases where you went to college doesn't always matter (unless, of course, you live in Cincinnati, like I do, and then it matters where you went to high school. Seriously. People get hired and fired over where they went to high school here, fifty years after they graduated. Have you ever heard of anything more backwards?...) [jmf1968]

Chegg.com hmm? I owe $575 in book fees...and we're not even allowed to use our finaid at Western Illinois University (Where i go) where's the logic in THAT? I may check out that website. -Amanda

Love the footnote. I think this is the first time I've heard someone give a sermon and know they weren't talking to (or at) me. I always find your entries intelligent and insightful, but we've been over that ground before. And, even though I don't need to say this (it must be some sort of compulsion to prove what a good boy I am), I write my entries in Word and then cut and paste. The occasional typo gets through, and I'm sure my comments are filled with spelling errors, but my entries should be pretty clean! (and I didn't think you had a boyfriend, currently, but I'm bad at keeping up)[jmf1968]

I am, once again, wiping giggle tears from my eyes. I have had a sh*tty day but thank goodness- some good writing to warp me out of it for a second. It's kind of funny- when we watch those movies here that have some white kid who is acting/talking like a black gansta its a bit of a puzzler- here its our township black guys who wanna talk like 50 Cent and be a gansta... I find it most bizarre when some "black" chick posts a pic and it turns out her ass is lily-whiter than mine! [AllySunnySmile]

I'm one of those readers that reads the whole entry and then picks the most relevant/interesting bits to comment on... or basically the bits I feel I have anything to comment on/contribute to.
So, in case you're ever wondering, if I ever leave you a comment that is only related to one sentence of your entry, it doesn't necessarily mean I haven't read the whole thing, it just means that one sentence was thought provoking enough for me to comment on.... but I don't think you were referring to those sorts of commenters in the first place, in which case, ignore me.
I think, you're referring to people who are fishing for comments on their own diary, and so they will leave a comment that is completely irrelevant, just to get a response in their own diary, right?
Anyway, I know what you mean about the lack of good writers on this site... and, lately, I'm feeling like all the good writers I have my my faves hardly ever update anymore... so it's a bit lame.
I hardly ever update, but then, I wouldn't really consider myself to be a "good writer"... I'm one of those lame ones, lol.
I'm glad you're back from India, it means at least one person on my faves is a regular updater! yay!

I have my faves; authors that I think have a worthwhile diary, and I comment on those consistently. You are in my faves, and though I don't always comment, I am ALWAYS reading. To me, your diary is worthwhile. You are insightful and just plain interesting.
I just tell people, if you want comments, go out and make some friends. Don't sit there with your boring diary and expect authors to flock to it.

As usual, I love your writing. Funny, but this sort of relates to my part I in my diary entry from yesterday. And you are right, there's self-confidence, there's being OK with yourself, and there's subjecting yourself to ridicule so much and so often that it ceases to hurt. Your example from above is probably a case of the third choice.[jmf1968]

LOL! Maybe she was delusional? Some ugly chicks just have an unhealthily skewed perception of how they really look. It's just like how some pretty/skinny girls have a skewed perception in the other direction and think they are fat/ugly when they're really not. Either way, there is definitely some sort of psychological issue when you look in the mirror and see something completely different to what everyone else sees when they look at you!
Of course, we all have skewed perceptions of ourselves to some extent... but dear god, I once was a skinny, fairly attractive girl (a long time ago!) and I NEVER posted nude pics of myself online... I've written elaborate details about my personal life online, and even posted a pic of myself in my bikini in one entry on here! But nude? Where is the line? Surely when the attention seeking crosses that line, you've gotta start putting things into perspective and realise that your BITS are on display for the ENTIRE world to see! Haha! And that's coming from me, the biggest attention whore in the universe!

I almost wish I was still throwing up so I could puke all over Jessica Alba... and I read in some mag that she was an ugly duckling or a nerd or something at school. Yeah right. When your bum and your face can only be distinguished by the fact that you are wearing pants over the one, THEN you're an ugly duckling. Anyhoo. Yeah.. I have put up my superest ugliest fattest bikini pics up on a site, but its a private page and meant to be motivational... towards losing the coninental amounts of flabbosa that surround my ass. I cannot imagine sharing that with my friends, family and (gah) strangers. [AllySunnySmile]

Fantastic story. I hung on every word. And I think you felt like John Adams because he was the antithesis of Jefferson, and Jefferson was the world diplomat. And also, because you felt like you had just risked your life for your definition of "American," but not on the battle field like Washington, Revere or others. (Although, I personally would have gone with Franklin).[jmf1968]

Only you could make me laugh over a story involving a near-death experience over a sandwich. I think Indian tap-water would probably have been kinder to my stomach. There are few things worse than the internal debate that occurs when one cannot decide which end to service when you have diarroeah and vomiting. One toilet, two ends. It can get pretty ugly. I read this entry last night, while Jason was sleeping. Well- I laughed so hard I woke him, the kitty and the puppy (who sleeps outside) up. Good grief, you have been sorely, sorely missed! I know what you mean about the hair thing, except its weirdly almost the opposite. We used to do a lot of work with little black children in the townships here when I was at school-kind of an outreach thing- and because I had really long blonde hair they always used to yank and tug at it- with sticky little fingers! LOL. Very painful, so if we were going into the townships I would have to wind my hair into a very tight bun for fear of being scalped! [AllySunnySmile]

OK, done with that. Every once in a while, something will really hit me enough to write, totally extemporaneously. This was one of those times. I hope my vision came through. I'm sure if I planned out my entries a little better, I could edit them, maybe show a little more craft, but oh, well, it's not like I'm trying to get published out of here. Anyway, the trip sounds like it was a great time (when viewed as a whole). I have to admit to being old enough, and provential enough that I would rather spend my vacation time on a beach or somewhere I can gamble. Traveling the world, to me, is one of those things that sounds great in theory, but I know myself well enough to know that there are other things I'd rather do. So, where to next? As long as you know what you want, it should help you not settle for something you don't (I have a little experience with settling, and it's not as good as it sounds). You definitely need to end it with this guy. It seems that sexual imagination is much more rare than you'd think, looking at some of the stuff on-line. I mean, I know that I'm a truly kinky, perverted kind of person, and I don't expect anyone else to be as out there as I am, but it seems impossible to find anyone (back when I was single) who didn't think kinky was anything other than missionary in the bedroom. For me, anyway, vanilla goes way past that, and kinky starts in another ballpark all together. Get what you want, even if it takes time. You are still really young, and if you miss sex, I firmly believe in the "sex-buddy" concept for singles. Not relationship, not friendship, just a mutual sex thing. It might help tide you over until you find what you want. Just a thought.......[jmf1968]

Yeah, indecisiveness and passiveness is a turn off for everyone I think... I like making decisions TOGETHER, as corny as that sounds... haha. I don't like the men that are all dominant and aggressive, and I don't like being the dominant one. I like a bit of in-between.
Good luck with the breakup... x[ripples]

Happy 4th of July (or for us third-worlders, where its just Friday, happy weekend babeeeee)! Thanks for the comment. For a second, I almost felt bad about the possible writer's block (or diarist's paralysis) which I may have caused dear wodaem, but I'm over that now. Aaaaaaaaah, family reunions. Nothing like family to make you really appreciate that you can choose your friends. I can't believe anyone would find Fantastic 4 cooler than X-men. Its beyond me. Those people are evil and must be dealt with. Fortunately, most of my family hates each other anyway, so they really couldn't be bothered to reunite. Besides, the prison probably wouldn't let my cousins out anyway (just kidding). [AllySunnySmile]

That's weird, cos recently a lot of my friends from high school have been either having babies or getting married. I think marrying and having children young is coming back in fashion. I think it could only work in exceptional circumstances.

You never fail to entertain! I love your entry.
Thismay be seem little silly, but I'm a nit-picky kind of guy. You wrote, "Fast lane=left lane". Not true. Technically (don't you love it when people use that word?) the right is the slow lane and the left land is the normal lane. That's why you see the occasional sign that says "slower traffic keep right". The speed limit is the same in both lanes. Now. . if she was goin 60 in a 65, she definitely should have been in the slow lane.
Sorry about the prissy comment. .. .you just struck one of my multitude of nit-picky pet peeves.

Maybe I Should Take the Bus
|
You're probably right. I am just as bad as him. I'm just as stubborn, that's for sure. It's not the first flame war I've gotten myself into on MDD. I'm too naïve, and I think that everyone is capable to seeing things from another person's point of view.... but some people just aren't (like, my mum)... and yet, I still feel a sense of obligation to "enlighten" them even though logically I know they will never be able to appreciate the flip-side of an argument. So, yeah, I'm just as bad as him...
By the way, I didn't mean your diary was the same as Lenahan's in the sense that you would prevent other people from expressing their point of view... but that it's a place where you express YOURS. And yeah, it does take a lot of courage to put your opinion out there and have other people tear into you publicly... which is why MY diary is semi-private. I was public for about the first two years of writing on this site... and I had too many people think that because they read two pages of my life, they suddenly thought they were in a position to pass judgement. I had A LOT of readers (like, I'd get about 30 comments per entry filled with everyone giving me their 2 cents about my life). I felt too vulnerable and exposed... and to be honest, I just wasn't ready for that kind of "truth". I was in denial about a lot of things. The main reason I first started writing here in the first place was because I wanted attention. I wanted people to read about my life and tell me how wonderful I was. Sad, but true. I hated myself, so I wanted other people to validate my existence. I was EXTREMELY immature, and I thought the world revolved around my head... and I was EXACTLY like Lenahan, in the sense that every time someone disagreed with me, I would piss and moan about it and write entries about how I was right and they were wrong, and how they didn't really "know" me, and that they had no right to pass judgments about me, etc. But as I continued writing, and I got to know some people on a more personal level... I started to respect their opinions more, and actually APPRECIATE and value their feedback and input.... and these days, as I've matured more and become more aware of my flaws, I actually have eased off a little bit and I'm not so uptight about everything.
But for some reason, despite the fact that you're right... I SHOULD just ignore him and move on... I can't help but to be reeled back in like a f..ucking fish. It's just too easy to slip back into my argumentative tendencies. Especially with Mark. There's something about him that fascinates me. I can't quite put my finger on what it is... but, I'm not quite ready to turn away just yet.
Maybe I'm just testing him... seeing just how far I can push him before he tips over the edge. Or maybe I'm just bored and need entertainment. Or maybe I'm just as two dimensional as he is. Who knows?[ripples]

It wouldn't have escalated into a flame war if it wasn't for the fact that he tried to censor me and prevent me from expressing my opinion. Did you know that I defended him against admin... to protect his right to say what he wanted (even though I disagreed with it)?
I think I have every right to defend my right to freedom of speech. Especially when someone like HIM, with all of his double standards, tries to take it away from me.
Read this thread on the forum, and see for yourself how far I went to defend him, not to mention the fact that I sent a personal e-mail to MTdreaming to defend his rights when he was banned...

You of all people should understand how important defending diversity of opinion is. This very diary you created under this name is purely for you to express your opinion openly about whatever you want.... how would you feel if someone tried to take that opportunity away from you?
Anyway, you can side with him if you want to, I'll understand completely. And I'll still think highly of you and respect you regardless.
